Lull Moiré Bolster

Sourced from a long-established European house, the moiré is woven from viscose, wool and cotton. Its distinctive watered surface is created by pressing the finished cloth under heavy rollers, echoing the moiré textiles used in early-twentieth-century Italian interiors. On Lull it reads horizontally, with the watered lines drifting the length of the bolster. The buttons are designed and crafted by Studio Nicholas and hand-cast in brass by a small, family-run workshop of artisans in Indonesia and plated in 99% silver. The two buttons mirror each other across the length of the cushion, gathering the fabric into a small, deliberate point.

At 60 centimetres long and 12 centimetres square, its elongated proportions and geometrical shape create a beautiful harmony wherever it is displayed.

Lull is filled with your choice of Dacron wrapped foam or duck feather. The foam holds a firmer, squarer line, keeping the moiré taut and the watered lines even along the length. The feather is softer and yields under the hand, settling into a fuller, more relaxed shape that plumps back as needed.

Each bolster is sewn, assembled and hand-finished individually in our Noosa workroom.
