Hush Moiré Cushion

Sourced from a long-established European house, the moiré is woven from viscose, wool and cotton. Its distinctive watered surface is created by pressing the finished cloth under heavy rollers, echoing the moiré textiles used in early-twentieth-century Italian interiors.

The face and back are cut from four panels of moiré, with the diagonals precisely aligned beneath the button. Each panel is individually matched for the way it catches the light, then joined and finished by hand. The button is designed and crafted by Studio Nicholas and hand-cast in brass by a small, family-run workshop of artisans from Indonesia and plated in 99% silver.

Inside is an ethically sourced duck feather fill cased in Japara cotton, soft under the hand and full enough to hold its shape.

Each cushion is sewn, assembled and hand-finished individually in our Noosa workroom.
